An exhaust system is usually a tubing used to guide exhaust gases from a motorbike away from a controlled combustion inside the bike’s engine. The entire system conveys burnt or used gases from the engine; and it includes one or more exhaust pipes. Depending on the design of the overall system, the exhaust gas may flow through a muffler to reduce noise.

The front section of the Hayabusa Brock's Performance Short Megaphone Full Exhaust (SHORTMEG) System starting from the engine to the Muffler is constructed of an aerospace quality ultra-light stainless steel. The result is race proven performance with a one of a kind drag race look but without the inherent drawbacks of a sidewinder. There is no reduced right hand cornering clearance or rear brake lever to pipe clearance issues. There’s no need for fairing modifications and the stock oil cooler and lines remain intact. The Brock's Performance Brick can also be used!

The SHORTMEG Exhaust package fits the 2008+ Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. This is not just an off-the-shelf pipe; but these systems are complete performance upgrade packages specifically designed for "serious stock" and Large CC or heavily modified Busa. The larger and more powerful your engine is, the better this system functions!  But the stock engines works well with this system also, with power levels which rival even the Generation 3 system! It includes specially-designed lightweight stainless steel header pipes joined to a full race megaphone.

The Hayabusa Brock's Performance Short Megaphone Full Exhaust System is a powerful hayabusa exhaust system.  All Brock’s Performance “GP Style” Megaphone mufflers are very loud. Most of the exhaust register at approximately 108 dB/A measured on the “A” scale at ½ indicated red line RPM at a distance of 0.5 meters (20 inches) in accordance with SAE J1287. The addition of their NRP-19 Noise Reduction plug results in a measurement of approximately 106 dB/A which is still very loud. All Brockï¾’s Performance exhaust systems are used for race only.    The Shortmeg Exhaust System has a more aggressive sound than the Generation 3 StreetSmart System, but it is still acceptable for street use with the baffle installed. By removing the billet aluminum baffle, the rider can produce a sound used specifically for races which imitates the tone of a booming NHRA Prostock machine! The SHORTMEG package comes with a Race Megaphone with removable billet Aluminum baffle. The total custom hayabusa exhaust system weight is just over 8lbs.

The Street Megaphone System is a joint effort between Brock Davidson Enterprises, renowned with their handcrafted quality products and Hindle Manufacturing of Canada, famous for their sports bike drag racing experience. The SHORTMEG system was personally designed and hand-tuned by Davidson specifically for the Hayabusa bike owner who frequents the drag strip and wants to make sure he owns the fastest bike out there.

The SHORTMEG System package includes a detailed exhaust system installation instructions; a Dynojet Power Commander TRACK maps that allows the bike to accelerate harder according to your specific application. The Brock's/BPD ECU maps are also available. The Dyno maps are available upon request if you want to impress your buddies. Custom baseline maps are available for modified engine applications. Brock’s Performance also offers technical assistance when needed. The total system weight is just over 8lbs and it is made in the United States.

So if the dream in your life is to own the fastest magnificent-looking bike at the races with the loudest booming sound ever, then go for the SHORTMEG System and hayabusa exhaust system and you will never go wrong.
